Hell, they didn't even bother to try and balance the last DLC around Records Mode. Yeah, that's exactly my concern CA don't seem to have even considered Records Mode when they designed a lot of these things in the DLC.

It is a shame that records is pretty much dropped but hey, personally this is the DLC I'm the most excited for as it feels very different from minor Han faction variation. I do feel a bit bad for you guys who really like the records mode but it's pretty awkward for the game to do both and in cases like Nanman they literally only have romance to go on. Hard to see how they could take this romance idea of Nanman and just port it to records without it just being bad (like removing most of the roster). They need to keep the integrity of records mode. I'm pretty sure the majority of records players who consistently play this game aren't interested in the fantasy element in the DLC. It's like if they want to add it to romance mode then go ahead, but please leave it out of records. If fantasy elements are going to become more and more predominant and unavoidable in the game, then - at the risk of sounding like that guy - I can't see myself sticking with it. And if so, then that really does put paid to any hope or pretense that Records Mode is actually being supported any longer. Presumably they're going to implemented exactly the same in both modes. I'm happy to see additional content for the game and the arrival of the Nanman at long last, but I have to ask how the fantasy-ish stuff like war tigers, flaming melee weapons, fire gods, and the lovechild of Doctor Dolittle and Rambo are all going to work in Records Mode, seeing as Records Mode is meant to be more grounded and realistic. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.847 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
